The project " GROW and DO bigger things " results

Throughout the project "GROW and DO bigger things" succesfully was implemented NGO's "EVALUTION" operational programme aims : to strengthen civil society of Kraslava region through active and regular association work that is based on the strengthening of democracy, equal opportunities principle and sustainable development.

Main implemented activities and results:

ü  Forums on rural development strategy and project final event (2 forums, final event, 163 participants)

ü  Carried out questionnaire on quality of life. (Developed 1 informative paper, available in 3 county libraries and in NGOs office)

ü  Organized various workshops and trainings for different age and interest groups:

* seminars on civic participation, 15 people trained;

* training on accounting issues - 15 people trained;

* training on legal issues - 15 people trained;

* training on the values for the sustainable development of the society - 20 people trained;

* workshop sessions on self development, personal skill growth and key to succes - 15 participants

ü  Implemented capacity-building activities. (2 NGO members trained with new skills, 9 new members joined NGO, 20 new volunteers participated in NGO activities and daily work. Established cooperation with others NGO's - Latvian Rural Forum and  NGO “Esi ar mums”)

ü  Throug the period of this project 6 other projects have been uptaken

ü  Ensured regular publicity (6 publications in the local newspaper, 6 informative articles publiced in countys website, every months updated information on associations website)

ü  Reduced social exclusion in Izvaltas parish and Kraslava district and promoted social and civic participation of various age and interest groups;

ü  Ensured sustainability of NGO through good governance and accountability - attracted new members, provided publicity for the activities of the Association, developed and publicly available study "Quality of life assessment in Izvaltas parish" and "Operational Programme for 2016 to 2020".

ü  ensuring gender equality in all NGOs organized educational, health-enhancing and leisure activities was equaly available for representers of all gender and age representatives
ü ensuring environmental sustainability - implemented projects in improvement of surrounding environment and quality of life.
